Wylie Independent School District

Wylie Independent School District covers 41 square miles and serves Wylie families and students from the surrounding communities of Sachse, Murphy, Lucas, Lavon and St. Paul. Wylie ISD has twenty campuses, including 6A Wylie High School and 5A Wylie East High School, one alternative high school, three junior high schools (grades seven and eight), three intermediate schools (grades five and six) and eleven elementary campuses (pre-K through grade four).

Collin College

Collin College serves more than 55,000 credit and continuing education students annually and offers more than 100 degrees and certificates. The only public college in the county, Collin College is a partner to business, government and industry, providing customized training and work force development. In addition, the college operates the Collin Higher Education Center, which serves 3,500 additional students each year in partnership with The University of Texas at Dallas, Texas Woman’s University, Texas A&M Commerce, Texas Tech and the University of North Texas.

Collin College recently held the Ground Breaking for the 339,000 square foot campus near Wylie City Hall on Country Club Road. Serving approximately 7,500 students when fully occupied, the Collin College Wylie Campus will provide specialized facilities for science, engineering, information technology, fine arts, education, and health care programs. The Wylie Campus will be open for registration in the fall semester of 2020.
