The Wylie Chamber of Commerce in cooperation with Wylie Economic Development Corporation (Wylie EDC) announced today that they will launch a ‘Lunch n’ Learn’ Series in 2022. The series will focus on educational topics for businesses large and small. The Lunch n’ Learns will provide professional training on a myriad of topics and will be held on the third Wednesday of each month. These lunchtime sessions are designed to respect the limited time and busy schedules of business professionals while still providing them with valuable and timely information to enhance their business success.
The ‘Lunch n’ Learn’ series will begin on January 19, 2022, and will focus on Social Media Marketing. This topic will span 3 monthly sessions and will educate attendees on the fundamentals of marketing their business using social media. “Business owners and entrepreneurs are quick to create, develop, and sell their product or service, but often struggle when it comes to marketing their business online,” commented Jason Greiner, Executive Director of the Wylie EDC. “The challenges of recent years have taught us that social media marketing and e-commerce capability greatly enhance the success and sustainability of all businesses, large and small. We are dedicated to ensuring that Wylie businesses have access to the knowledge and information they need to thrive and grow in our community.”
Social Media 101 will review the basic characteristics of commonly used social media platforms and the criteria involved in choosing a platform for business marketing.
Social Media 201 will lead businesses through the decision tree for selecting the right platform, establishing goals and expectations for social media marketing, and implementing, maintaining, and growing a social media presence for their business.
Social Media 301 will teach businesses to use tools to measure, evaluate and fine-tune their social media programs for optimal success
