Wylie, TX – October 18, 2023 – Wylie, Texas – The Wylie Economic Development Corporation (Wylie EDC) is proud to announce key board appointments and a substantial investment by Sanden International (USA), Inc.
At the Wylie EDC Annual Meeting, newly appointed Board President Melisa Whitehead presided over the election of new officers. Aaron Jameson was elected as Vice President, Blake Brininstool as Treasurer, and Whitney McDougall as Secretary for the upcoming year. The board expressed gratitude to former President Demond Dawkins, who will continue his involvement as the Immediate Past President. The meeting concluded with the promotion of Rachael Hermes to the position of Assistant Director of the Wylie EDC.
$25 Million Investment by Sanden International
A highlight of the meeting was the announcement of a $500,000 incentive approved by the Wylie EDC Board to support Sanden's new $25 million investment at their Wylie-based manufacturing facility. This investment is focused on expanding Sanden's automotive equipment line, with the expansion expected to be fully operational before year-end.

The Wylie Economic Development Corporation (Wylie EDC) is funded through a citywide half-cent sales tax that is funded by over 240,000 local area residents.
