High-Growth Industry – according to the Manufacturing Institute and Deloitte, 4 million manufacturing jobs will need to be filled between now and 2030, making manufacturing an exciting and secure career choice.
To meet this growing demand, Wylie ISD, Collin College and local manufacturers are focused on preparing students for the high-tech skilled workforce of tomorrow.

MFG Day is an initiative of The The Manufacturing Institute, with the Fabricators & Manufacturers Association as a founding partner. The Wylie Economic Development Corporation (Wylie EDC) is funded through a citywide half-cent sales tax that is funded by over 240,000 local area residents. The WEDC facilitates corporate relocations, local expansions of existing businesses, retail/commercial development and revitalization projects. The Wylie EDC facilitates the creation of new jobs and generates additional tax revenue for the benefit of the community.
