Wylie, Texas – May 29, 2024. The Wylie Economic Development Corporation (Wylie EDC) today announced the start of construction for Cooper Plaza, located at the SWC of Hwy 78 and Brown Street.
Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) Improvements: The project kicks off today with the first phase of the TxDOT median improvements: two hooded left turn lanes and three deceleration lanes along State Highway 78 near its intersection with Brown Street. These improvements are expected to take 60-90 days to complete.
Infrastructure Installation: Within the next 45-60 days, the Wylie EDC anticipates that the internal site development work will begin. The critical infrastructure will support the future pad sales and eventual development of Cooper Plaza. Location: SWC of Hwy 78 and Brown St., east of the Downtown Historic District.
Design: Planned development with interconnected vehicular and pedestrian pathways.
