Wylie EDC Announces February 'Lunch n' Learn' Program

Wylie, Texas - January 31, 2022.  The Wylie Chamber of Commerce in cooperation with Wylie Economic Development Corporation (Wylie EDC), today announced the next in its series of ‘Lunch n’ Learn’ educational programs.  The February program "Battleground IRS: Maneuvering a Successful Tax Experience", will feature 3 Tax Professionals discussing different aspects of tax code changes, pitfalls and strategies for filing a successful tax return and optimizing your businesses tax situation moving forward.  The February 'Lunch 'n Learn' will be held Wednesday, February 16th from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm at First Baptist Church, 100 N. First Street, Wylie, Texas (Room 248).  Deli lunch will be provided for registered attendees.

Held the third Wednesday of each month, the ‘Lunch 'n Learn’ series will feature a schedule of educational topics pertinent to current issues facing the business community. January's topic "How Social is your Business" introduced the more than 30 local business professionals in attendance to the fundamentals of the various social media platforms.  In March and April, the 'Lunch 'n Learn' series will return to the topic of social media marketing and explore the steps for creating and maintaining a  social media program.  “Business owners and entrepreneurs, usually experts in developing and selling their product or service, frequently find themselves challenged in staying up to speed with evolving operational business issues such as tax strategies, evolving market trends, personnel issues, and so forth," commented Jason Greiner, Executive Director of the Wylie EDC. “This Lunch 'n Learn series is specifically designed to address and accommodate the educational needs of busy business professionals." Once a month, they can gather for lunch and participate in a quick educational session addressing topics that will help their businesses grow and succeed."

Scheduled Lunch 'n Learns are: 

March - Social Media 201 will lead businesses through selecting the right platform and establishing/enhancing a social media presence for their business    

April -   Social Media 301 will teach businesses to effectlively use tools to measure, evaluate and fine-tune their social media programs for optimal success
