Wylie EDC Announces March Lunch n' Learn Program

Wylie, Texas - February 18, 2022.  The Wylie Chamber of Commerce, in cooperation with Wylie Economic Development Corporation (Wylie EDC), today announced its March Lunch n’ Learn educational program.  In January, participants explored the fundamentals of the various social media platforms available, including the dynamics, demographics and reach of each platform.  The March program Social Media 201: Deeper Dive on Content Creation, will pick up where the January Lunch 'n Learn left off. Focusing on content creation tools, platforms and expanding the reach of your content, the March Lunch 'n Learn will be held Wednesday, March 16th from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm at First Baptist Church, 100 N. First Street, Wylie, Texas (Room 248).  Deli lunch will be provided for registered attendees.

The Lunch 'n Learn series is a new program offering for 2022, and will feature a series of educational topics pertinent to current issues facing the business community. "January and February Lunch 'n Learn sessions were well attended and feedback from participants was overwhelmingly positive.  Attendees indicated that the topics are timely and the information is helpful to our business community," commented Jason Greiner, Executive Director of the Wylie EDC. "Supporting the needs of Wylie businesses is our top priority and this is one small way we can help meet those needs."

The March topic, Deeper Dive on Content Creation, will explore how to create the type of content that is most effective, how to share, promote, boost and manage your business' social media marketing for maximum effectiveness.  In addition, the panelists will demonstrate for participants how to use tools and techniques and share tips for maximizing content effectiveness.  Finally, businesses will learn how to schedule posts in advance, providing more flexibility in managing their social media marketing.  "This is where the rubber meets the road in launching a social media marketing program," stated MIke Agnew, President of the Wylie Chamber of Commerce.  "Most businesses know they can do a better job of promoting themselves on social media, but aren't quite sure how or where they can improve. This program will help guide them to the right tools and strategies."

Lunch 'n Learn programs are provided at no charge for Chamber of Commerce members.  Non-members can attend for a nominal charge of $20 pp.  The Wylie EDC is providing complimentary registration to the first 25 non-members to attend as our guest.
