Wylie EDC Announces May Lunch n' Learn Program
Wylie, Texas - April 25, 2022. The Wylie Chamber of Commerce, in cooperation with Wylie Economic Development Corporation (Wylie EDC), today announced its May Lunch n’ Learn educational program, Solutions for Hiring and Retaining Employees. The May program will feature speakers from Workforce Solutions for North Central Texas (Workforce Solutions) and will cover programs available to employers to overcome obstacles they face in managing their workforce. The May Lunch 'n Learn will be held Wednesday, May 18th from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm at First Baptist Church, 100 N. First Street, Wylie, Texas (Room 248). Deli lunch will be provided for registered attendees.
The Lunch 'n Learn series is entering it's 5th month and feedback from attendees has been overwhelmingly positive. The program is intended to provide educational content in a quick lunchtime format. “These sessions are designed to address issues and provide access to resources on key issues our employers are facing," commented Jason Greiner, Executive Director, Wylie EDC. “Hiring and retention issues are a common problem that crosses all business segments. Workforce Solutions has access to programs and resources to help employers overcome the obstacles they are facing in staffing their businesses."

Lunch 'n Learn programs are provided at no charge as a member benefit for Chamber of Commerce members. Non-members can attend for a nominal charge of $20 pp which includes the program and lunch.
