The Wylie Economic Development Corporation (Wylie EDC) is proud to announce the addition of Jamba Juice/Auntie Anne’s, Crumbl Cookies, United Parcel Service, ATI Physical Therapy, and Roosters Men’s Grooming Center to the Kroger-anchored Woodbridge Centre located at the corner of FM 544 and Woodbridge Parkway. Construction is nearing completion with businesses expected to begin opening in late February 2021.

"I look forward to welcoming these new businesses to the City of Wylie. They will bring new and expanded services and retail options to our city while continuing to develop our retail tax base,” stated Wylie Mayor Matthew Porter.  “I am proud to see the city and Wylie EDC work together to continue to grow business during such a trying time that has seen retractions in many other markets."

In June 2020, the Wylie EDC Board of Directors authorized a performance agreement with CBC Property Holdings, L.P (CBC) to provide $50,000 in infrastructure assistance, payable over a 2-year period, to construct the 7,920 square foot retail building.

“Since the success of the Hwy. 78 center with Schlotzsky’s and Fish N Tails, my client, Albert Enterprises and I were looking for a second project in Wylie,” stated Jim Jamerson, Executive Vice President, Segovia Partners.  “The perfect opportunity presented itself in the well-positioned and thriving Kroger center.  Albert Enterprises is planning more projects in the City of Wylie due to the business-friendly approach and strong support from staff. “

“In the pursuit to continually strengthen and grow Wylie’s business base, we look for projects like this that not only offer unique, in-demand products for our citizens but provide a quick return on investment for our City,” stated WEDC Board President Demond Dawkins.   “The Wylie EDC is excited to welcome these businesses to our community.”

The project is anticipated to add $1.5 million in property value to the tax rolls, provide a variety of new employment opportunities, and generate additional sales tax dollars to Wylie’s thriving business base.  According to Economic Impact Analysis the project is expected to generate more than $1 million in tax revenue over the next 10 years.
