Wylie EDC Recognizes Angel Wygant for More Than a Decade of Service to the Community

WYLIE, TEXAS — May 27, 2026 — The Wylie Economic Development Corporation (Wylie EDC) recognizes Angel Wygant for more than a decade of dedicated service to the organization and the Wylie community as she prepares for retirement at the end of May.

Angel joined Wylie EDC in August 2014 and, throughout her tenure, supported a wide range of business outreach initiatives, workforce development programs, community partnerships, and organizational operations, contributing to the continued growth and success of Wylie EDC. Her final day with the organization will be May 29, 2026.

Throughout her time as the Business Retention & Expansion (BRE) Director, Angel played an important role in strengthening relationships with Wylie’s business community and supporting workforce and education initiatives throughout the region. She worked closely with local small businesses, primary employers, Wylie ISD Career & Technical Education (CTE) programs, Collin College, Workforce Solutions for North Central Texas (WSNCT), manufacturers, and community partners to help connect students and residents with career opportunities throughout Wylie.

“Angel has been an incredible advocate for Wylie’s businesses and workforce initiatives,” said Jason Greiner, Executive Director of Wylie EDC. “Her ability to build relationships, support local industry, and connect people throughout the community has made a lasting impact on our organization and on Wylie as a whole. We are extremely appreciative of her service and wish her the very best in retirement.”

Wylie EDC extends its sincere appreciation to Angel for her years of dedication, service, and commitment to the Wylie community.
